STOURBRIDGE OLD QUARTER:
World War 1 CENTENARY
The Window on
World War One Project
To commemorate the sacrifice made by the Stourbridge Old Quarter men Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council are producing
57 colour posters to be displayed in windows, around the local area, in the days leading up to November 11th.
The posters are designed by Steve Field, the borough artist, and each will include individual details about each of the men.
Wherever possible the poster will be displayed in the window of the house where the man actually lived.
In some instances, however, this aim will not be achievable, so we are grateful to Old Quarter residents, and businesses, who have generously offered to 'adopt' a fallen hero, thereby ensuring that each of the 57 commemorative posters is displayed.
